We didn’t miss anything, so take the left, kill the creature waiting at the end of the hall, then grab the Weltcap behind it. The path splits here, with the boss room on the left and the other half of the Abandoned Chamber on the right. Loot the Quenching Acid from the chest behind it (return to the Anvil to upgrade if needed), then take the path down deeper into the crypt. Approach with a jumping attack to catch it off guard, then combo into a stagger for an easy kill. Thankfully it’s attacks are heavily telegraphed and therefore easy to harden through. This enemy lies in wait until you approach, then flails wildly with its claws. Take out the undead in your way, then focus on the creature waiting in the corner. Kill the undead looking down off the cliff and loot the Large Bolt he is guarding, then turn around and take the other exit out of the room. Return to the previous room and go straight ahead through the left exit, leading you to another small room with two more grapplers and an undead. Find a Tarspore behind the coffin to the right, then immediately enter the crawl space on the right side of the room and grab the Martyr’s Blade upgrade, Petrified Winterglass. Two grapplers are waiting on the right to ambush you, and an undead is in the corner. Hold harden to counter all of its attacks.Īt the end of this short hallway you will arrive in a larger open room with multiple exits. At low health the zombie will rips its head off and throw it at you, then die in a poisonous cloud. I recommend approaching with a running jump attack, then lead into a combo to try and stagger. At range the zombie will throw its swords at you, and up close it will lash out with overhead sword swings. If you see your Tarnished Seal flash red harden to block both of those attacks.Īs you move into the next room you will encounter a new enemy time, an undead with swords sticking from its body. At close range these enemies will poison you with fast jabs, or they will leap on you from afar with a drop kick or multi-hit command grab. In the first room you will encounter two of those demonic grappler enemies, with a Spectral Token in the corner. Once you are ready, progress into the temple. This is probably the easiest temple in the game, but the bosses can be troublesome so i recommend tackling them with the highest upgraded weapon possible. If you have any Quenching Acid to use there is an Anvil you can use to upgrade your weapon. Still, for many PS Plus subscribers, it's much better than nothing.Upon entering the Abandoned Chamber run ahead and awaken the Sester to set your revive point, then head into the next room and loot the Weltcap in the corner, and use the book to battle Hadern and get the Martyr’s Blade if you haven’t already done so. Sure, it's not permanent - once Mortal Shell inevitably leaves PS Plus Extra, the loophole closes and you'll be left having to pony up for the upgrade once again. Now with the soulslike hitting PS Plus Extra, however subscribers who decided to pony up for the more expensive Extra or Premium tiers can finally tap into the PS5 version of Mortal Shell. In fact, Mortal Shell is one of the few remaining hold-outs that hasn't offered a free PS5 upgrade to those who claimed a copy via PS Plus in 2021. It's an issue unique to PlayStation as a platform, as a copy of a game on Xbox or Steam will not be segregated into separate purchases per console like this, and we're happy to see big PS Plus games like Final Fantasy VII Remake, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Outer Wilds all working to offer free PS5 upgrades to subscribers. Mortal Shell free PS5 upgrade loophole available for a limited timeWhile Mortal Shell offers a free PS5 upgrade to any player who purchased the game outright on PS4, anyone who claimed the PS4 version of Mortal Shell on PlayStation Plus was denied a PS5 upgrade - instead being offered to pay an upgrade fee of £24.99/$29.99. The Mortal Shell PS Plus collab continues.
